Disable hibernation in Windows

 

If you use a 💻 with small RAM values, or if you simply want to increase memory capacity of your device, we recommend disabling hibernation mode 👇.

Run the command line and run the command powercfg -hibernate off. By replacing off with on respectively you can turn the function back on.

When using hibernation to save space we can compress the hiberfil.sys file to 60%. To do this also run the command powercfg hibernate size 60 in the console.
