How to automate your Windows disk cleanup

 

You can use Windows’ Disk Cleanup utility to free up storage space automatically. 

✅ Press Windows Key + X and select Windows Powershell (Admin).

✅Type in the command prompt: cleanmgr /sageset:9000 (any integer from zero to 9999).

✅ In a dialog box you can select which files you’d like to automatically clean up. When you’ve selected, click OK and close the Powershell window. 

✅Use the search box in Windows to open Task Scheduler on your 💻 and go to Action > Create Basic Task. Give this task a name and description, and follow the on-screen prompts to set up a schedule  (daily, weekly, monthly, when the computer starts, etc.).

✅ In the Action tab you can select Start a program and on the next page, type C:\Windows\system32\cleanmgr.exe, click Next, check it and click Finish.
